The Real Estate Summits, organized by GYODER since the year 2000, have become one of the most important platforms bringing together the real estate sector more and more successfully every year. With their rich content defining current issues to be dwelt on and high level international speakers and participants, the Real Estate Summits have become a brand name in the real estate world.
To simultaneously organize summits which attract such attention and bring the real estate sector together under the same roof, with a real estate exhibition with international participants had been part of GYODER’s vision since the association’s first day. Finally GYODER is presenting the sector with Turkey’s first internationally participated regional real estate meeting, the ISTANBUL REstate, by cooperating with the world’s leading Exhibition Organizer Reed Exhibitions. As of June 2009, the Real Estate Summits held together with the ISTANBUL REstate Real Estate Exhibition, an innovative concept in the sector and the world.
The 9th Real Estate Summit held last year on June 2, 2009 at the Lütfi Kırdar Convention&Exhibition Center, was realized with the contributions of the Capital Markets Board (CMB), the Housing Development Administration of Turkey (TOKİ), the European Public Real Estate Association (EPRA), the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). The 9th Real Estate Summit brought together the executives of the leading real estate companies in Turkey and in the world, and the most knowledgeable experts in their fields. At the panels developments and issues of the sector discussed. On June 3-4, 2009, the first ISTANBUL REstate Real Estate Exhibition, where there were more than 1.500 corporate participants and where more than 200 companies were exhibit their projects, created new cooperation and investment opportunities focusing especially on the real estate sectors in Turkey, the Mediterranean Region, North Africa, the Middle East, Russia and the Former Soviet Republics.
