Within the framework of the protocol signed between GYODER and the Rectorate of Ankara University, a 25% discount is offered exclusively to GYODER members in the Graduate Programs in Real Estate Development and Management and the Graduate Programs in Land Management and Policy under the Department of Real Estate Development and Management at the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences.

On October 9, 2024, GYODER signed a protocol with the Istanbul University Institute of Business Economics to collaborate in the areas of education, research, professional development, and other academic activities. The protocol was signed during an event organized under the GYODER Academy, with the participation of GYODER President Neşecan Çekici and Director of the Istanbul University Institute of Business Economics, Prof. Dr. Ali Hepşen.

Under the partnership between GYODER and the Istanbul University Institute of Business Economics, joint educational programs, seminars, panels, symposiums, workshops, and specialized courses will be organized, focusing particularly on fields such as real estate finance, real estate development, real estate management, facility management, construction accounting, sustainability, corporate governance, real estate literacy, urban transformation, and appraisal. The protocol also aims to develop thesis and non-thesis graduate programs, as well as joint certificate programs. Additionally, through the collaboration between the Institute and GYODER, the GYODER Real Estate Academy is expected to launch new projects in the coming period.

Women Leaders in Real Estate Platform (GKL) was established in 2017 under the Urban Land Institute (ULI) as the Women Leadership Initiative Turkey organization, a global women's initiative. With approximately 600 members, it serves as a strong representative for women in the real estate sector. Despite ULI’s withdrawal from Turkey, GKL has continued its efforts without interruption and, as of 2024, operates under the umbrella of GYODER. Its mission is to increase women's employment and the number of women executives in the real estate sector, while also enhancing the presence and effectiveness of women in the field.

Purpose of the Program

The purpose of the Women Leaders in Real Estate Mini-MBA Certificate Program is to equip women professionals in the real estate sector with "360-degree leadership" skills and comprehensive expertise in all key areas of the sector.

The program is prepared with contributions from the academic staff of Boğaziçi University, along with industry leaders and experts. It includes online lectures, guest speakers, mentorship, and networking activities.

Participants will have the opportunity to strengthen their personal awareness and leadership identities through inspiring talks and workshops while gaining the confidence to embark on a positive journey of change for themselves and those around them.

To reinforce the skills gained in the program, participants will work on a project and continue their development journey through in-person/online meetings with their assigned mentors.

Program Content

MODULE 1: Leadership and Effective Communication (12 hours)

• Effective leadership communication in the modern age
• Creative and design-focused thinking
• Workplace well-being, mindfulness, and the importance of adaptability
  (This module will be delivered by Boğaziçi University academics.)

MODULE 2: Effective Management (12 hours)

• Effective project management
• Internal policy management

  (This module will be delivered by Boğaziçi University academics.)

MODULE 3: The New World Order (12 hours)

• Innovation, Industry 4.0, and digital leadership

MODULES 4-5-6: A 360-Degree View of the Real Estate Sector (36 hours)

• Project financing
• Real estate law
• Entrepreneurship in real estate

• Property valuation
• Urban transformation
• Facility and resource management
  (This module will be delivered by industry leaders.)

Mentorship

Participants will receive mentorship from senior executives in the real estate sector who have completed mentorship training under GYODER/GKL programs. Mentor-mentee pairings will occur after the 4th module, and each pairing will involve three meetings.

Additionally, online and in-person networking events are planned to bring participants together with leaders in the real estate sector.

Project

Participants will be divided into groups of 3 or 4 to prepare projects on topics covered in modules 4-5-6.

Target Audience

Women professionals working in the real estate sector.

Prerequisites

Applicants must hold a university degree and have at least 5 years of work experience in the sector. Candidates should send their CVs and motivation letters to eda.duman@std.bogazici.edu.tr.

A 20% discount is available for GYODER members, and a 10% discount is offered to Boğaziçi University alumni.

Outcome

Participants who successfully complete the program will be awarded a "Mini-MBA Certificate."
